Katie Camerer
Director, Public Affairs

Katie Camerer is an experienced public affairs and strategic communications professional, having held legislative affairs and community engagement roles in California state and local government, as well as publishing responsibilities for two regional magazines. At Think Big, she supports a range of clients with content creation, grassroots and stakeholder engagement, media relations and creative strategy.

Prior to joining Think Big, Katie served as the District Representative for Placer County Supervisor Bonnie Gore, where she played a key role in local governance, operating at the intersection of policy, political affairs and communications. Before her public service in the Placer County Supervisor’s office, she served as publisher of BeLOCAL Lincoln & Rocklin and Assistant Publisher for Sacramento Real Producers, two regional print and digital magazines for which she directed editorial strategy, oversaw content creation, and managed client relations. 

 

Early in her career, Katie worked in the California State Senate and Assembly as a legislative aide and caucus consultant for the Senate Minority Leader, where she focused on policy analysis, bill drafting, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Katie holds a Bachelor’s degree and MBA from Jessup University. Born and raised in Northern California, she often spends her free time outdoors with her husband, Jared, son, Judah, and their miniature German Shepherd, Charlie.
