Jon Berrier
Managing Director, Public Affairs

Jon Berrier is a battle-tested communications and government affairs strategist with two decades of political, agency and corporate experience helping organizations navigate high-stakes public policy and reputational challenges. He leads the firm’s growing West Coast operation having managed policy, issue advocacy, crisis and ballot measure campaigns throughout the Western U.S. and across the country. 

 

Most recently, Jon spent five years overseeing U.S. public affairs and State Government Affairs for Juul Labs. Prior to Juul, he was an Executive Vice President at Edelman, the world’s largest communications advisory firm, where he counseled the C-suite of Fortune 500 corporations, trade associations and nonprofits across a diverse set of sectors and issue areas and led international, federal and multi-state public policy efforts for his clients. Before Edelman, Jon ran his own communications consultancy and helped build the California operation for Mercury, a high-stakes public strategy firm. 

 

Jon is a veteran of the Bush-Cheney ‘04 presidential campaign, the Bush ‘43 White House and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s successful 2006 reelection campaign. 

 

Jon is a graduate of Harvard College, where he was a four year member of the Varsity Football team and earned selection to the All-Ivy team his senior season. Born and raised in Maryland, Jon is a die-hard fan of both crabcakes and Baltimore Ravens football. He enjoys golfing, strumming the guitar and cooking for family and friends. He resides in Sacramento with his wife, Devon, four amazing kids and Chocolate lab Brooks.
